Helping Little Voices Find Their Way

Communication is about so much more than words. It’s how children connect, ask for help, share ideas, build relationships, participate in their world, and feel understood.

At Sprout + Thrive, our pediatric speech and language therapy is play-based, relationship-centered, and individualized to your child. We meet children where they are, build on their strengths and interests, and turn meaningful everyday interactions into opportunities for communication and growth.

Whether your child is just beginning to use words, is difficult to understand, has trouble expressing their ideas or understanding language, needs support navigating conversations and friendships, or has oral-motor or myofunctional concerns, we’re here to help.

Our approach includes parents as an important part of the therapy team so that new skills don’t stay in the therapy room—they become part of home, school, play, and everyday life.

Speech Therapy May Help If Your Child…

  • Isn’t talking as much as other children their age

  • Has difficulty combining words or forming sentences

  • Is hard for others to understand

  • Has difficulty following directions or understanding questions

  • Gets frustrated when trying to communicate

  • Has trouble telling stories or explaining what happened

  • Has difficulty with back-and-forth conversation or social communication

  • Stutters or has difficulty speaking smoothly

  • Is growing up with more than one language and you have questions about their communication development

  • Has concerns related to oral posture, tongue placement, mouth breathing, or other myofunctional skills

Support can start with a conversation. You don’t need to know exactly what your child needs before reaching out.

Better Together: OT + Speech Therapy

Children don’t develop skills in isolation. Communication, sensory regulation, motor skills, attention, play, and social connection all work together throughout a child’s day.

Having Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy in the same clinic allows our therapists to collaborate, share observations, and work toward connected goals rather than treating each area separately. This creates better continuity of care for your child—and less work for families trying to coordinate between multiple providers.

For children receiving both OT and Speech Therapy at Sprout + Thrive, this can mean more consistent strategies, better carryover between sessions, and a team that sees and supports the whole child.

One child. One family. One collaborative team.

Why I love Speech Therapy

What Rossana loves most about Speech Therapy is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Helping clients communicate more effectively, and watching that improvement ripple into their confidence, relationships, and daily participation, is incredibly rewarding. Speech therapy goes far beyond building a skill; it’s about opening doors, strengthening connections, and supporting each person’s ability to fully engage in their world. I value the collaborative nature of this work, partnering with families and other professionals, and honoring every client’s cultural and linguistic background as an essential part of their communication journey. Being a speech‑language pathologist is deeply fulfilling, and I’m grateful for the chance to work with such diverse ages, abilities, and disorders. There is always something new to learn, and that constant growth keeps the work inspiring and meaningful.
